What we learned answering at 3am

People do not call a restoration company because they have been comparing them. They call because water is coming through something and they have no idea what happens next. Almost nobody asks about our certifications on that first call. They ask whether someone is coming, and what this is going to cost them.

So we answer those two first, honestly, before anything else. Then we tell them where the shut-off usually is in a house like theirs, what to move, and what to leave exactly where it is so the photographs are worth something later.

The certifications matter enormously once we are on site. They are just not the thing anyone needs at three in the morning.

Florida-licensed Mold Remediator. Florida requires this separately from a contractor licence. By law the same company cannot both assess and remediate mould on one project, so we do not offer both.

Insurance

General liability and workers’ compensation. Ask for the certificate before work starts and we will send it — you should be asking that of anyone who turns up at your house.
